McClintock’s Trailer Resort Coronavirus (COVID-19) Company Policy

Overview

The health, safety and well-being of our staff, members and community are of the utmost importance to us.

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19), previously known as the 2019 novel coronavirus, is a pandemic that already has, and will continue to, imminently disrupt the operations of many businesses, not just our own.

Our management team felt it was critical to be equipped with an extensive plan on how we will safely resume operations once able to re-open by government regulation. The below plan will be in effect only when the government allows our business to re-open for the season. For now our office is closed but, we will continue to take contactless payment and answer calls.

Policy brief & purpose

This company policy includes the measures we are actively taking to mitigate the spread of coronavirus, as well as the policies we will implement in the future upon being allowed to re-open again. You are kindly requested to follow all these rules diligently, to sustain a healthy and safe space in this unique environment. It’s important that we all respond responsibly and transparently to these health precautions. We assure you that we will always treat your private health and personal data with high confidentiality and sensitivity.

This coronavirus (COVID-19) company policy is susceptible to changes with the introduction of additional governmental guidelines. If so, we will update this document online accordingly.

Scope

This coronavirus policy applies to all of our employees who physically work in our office and trailer park, as well as any campers, visitors and clients who reside or visit our trailer park.

Policy elements

Here, we outline the required actions we have and will take to ensure the safety of all employees, campers, visitors and clients, in an effort to prevent potential coronavirus infection.

General public safety measures and hygiene:

  • Hand sanitizer pumps have been made available at various sites throughout our office for your convenience

  • Social distancing and directional tape has been placed on the floor of the office and front lobby to ensure safety requirements throughout the building

  • New occupancy caps will be in place for the following areas (occupancy excludes staff members): (1) in the Main Office and (3) Front Lobby– numbers shall not exceed a total group occupancy of more than (5) as set by Ontario Provincial guidelines.

  • All employees and clients are required to wash their hands after using the toilet, before eating, and if you cough/sneeze into your hands (follow the 20-second hand-washing rule). You can also use the sanitizers you’ll find around the office.

  • Cough/sneeze into your sleeve, preferably into your elbow. If you use a tissue, discard it properly and clean/sanitize your hands immediately.

  • Avoid touching your face, particularly eyes, nose, and mouth with your hands to prevent from getting infected.

Office sanitation and safety:

  • All common areas and items (debit machine, door handles, reception desk etc.) will be sanitized between clients with commercial grade products.

  • Employees must wash and/or sanitize hands between clients.

  • We ask that only one client per lot comes into the office at a time

Tenant safety:

  • All employees will remain at 6 ft or greater distance away from campers, visitors and clients all the time. If a member of our staff is on your lot doing maintenance, we ask that you stay inside your trailer and give them plenty of space to work.

  • If you have cold symptoms, such as cough/sneezing/fever, or feel poorly, please stay inside your trailer to minimize risk of infection to other seasonal renters.

  • If you have a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, you can return to our park only after you’ve fully recovered.

  • If you have recently returned from out of the country, we’ll ask you to remain home or inside your trailer only for 14 calendar days and travel to and around our park if you are fully asymptomatic. You will also be asked not to come into physical contact with any other staff members, campers, visitors or clients during this time.

  • If you’ve been in close contact with someone infected by COVID-19, with high chances of being infected yourself, please consider the safety of your fellow campers and stay indoors or at home. You will also be asked not to come into physical contact with any other staff members, campers, visitors or clients during this time.

Employee sick leave and client cancellation policy due to illness:

  • All staff members, campers, visitors and clients will be subject to a health check in before entering the building or proceeding with work on the property. If you have a fever, no matter how gradual, we ask that you do not enter our building or make contact with members of our staff.

Evaluation

COVID 19 has presented all of us with challenges we have never seen before. It’s important to consider that any of the adjustments we are making today, may need further adjustment tomorrow.
